Some thoughts on damage formulations
1)Is path dependence critical for the target application (crashworthiness)?
2)Is a phenomenological model good enough?
3)Should we take orthotropic effects into account (i.e. tensorial damage) or is a scalar formulation fine?
4)Shall we accumulate the damage value based on the stress state or on the strain state?
5)Shall the damage accumulation be isotropic, orthotropic or at least pressure dependent?

五、Summary
1)Use of existing material models and respective parameters
2)Constitutive model and damage formulation are treated separately
3)Allows for the calculation of pre-damage for forming and crashworthiness simulations
4)Characterization of materials requires a variety of tests
5)Offers features for a comprehensive treatment of damage in forming simulations and allows simply carrying aver to crash an alysis
